Entry Mid Level AV Tech

As an AV Installation Specialist, you may be expected to (depending on your Tech level):

  • Work with the Project Manager and team in the timely completion of assigned daily procedures and customer jobs.

  • Pre-wire high-end custom and semi-custom residential homes and commercial buildings under construction for future A/V and home automation.

  • Pull audio/video wire throughout residential and commercial buildings.

  • Install whole home audio systems, speakers (wall mounted, ceiling and/or recessed), TV’s, entry systems, motorized shades, and networks.

  • Install (and program, if applicable) whole home automation systems including light, shade, HVAC control systems, video distribution systems, distributed home audio, and security cameras.

  • Create, contribute, and share new ideas and information in a positive team environment.


As a Qualified AV Installation Specialist, you should possess the following:

  • A passion for electronics and home automation

  • Ability to read technical plans, specifications, and schematic diagrams.

  • Knowledge of low voltage systems, technology, and equipment

  • Understanding of basic networking concepts and principles

  • Basic construction knowledge

  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds independently.

  • Ability to work on your feet for an entire shift.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate power tools while on a ladder.

  • Ability to perform and complete tasks with minimal supervision

  • Ambitious, self-motivated, good work ethic, the ability to learn quickly.

  • Excellent communication skills in all forms

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to provide superior customer service.

  • Detail oriented

  • Solid work history

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
