Our History

Enriching Lifestyles with Technology

Sierra Integrated Systems (SIS), formerly Integrated Home Systems, started in 2002 in the high end residential low voltage systems business. As the company developed over the years, customer demands for the scope of the low voltage systems for residential projects grew significantly and SIS expanded its operations to meet these demands.

SIS has grown to 16 employees over the last 15 years under the leadership of president and owner, Keith Burrowes. With a background of managing large engineering and construction projects around the world, Burrowes is dedicated to bringing the same disciplined approach to this business and has created financial stability to weather volatility in the construction market.

The SIS team is comprised of highly qualified professionals with various educational backgrounds and university undergraduate or advanced degrees.  With deep roots in engineering and project management, SIS knows how to support large projects which demand disciplined attention to schedules and cost control. All systems design, software development, project management, installation, and integration of the control systems are handled internally for optimum scheduling and quality control.

To complement its large portfolio of residential projects, SIS broadened its portfolio of business in 2008 to include commercial projects such as boardrooms, training rooms, auditoriums, and conference rooms. Current and past commercial customers include: Microsoft, Employers Insurance, Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF), Sierra Nevada Corporation, and the Army National Guard.

SIS is also a member of the Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA)  – an invitation-only membership including only the 60 largest companies in this industry nationally, and has been ranked by CEPro as among the largest 100 Custom Install Companies in the USA since 2009.

SIS offers a full suite of low voltage systems, including:
